Today we announce the general availability of the new eighth generation, the memory of the optimized Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (AMAZON EC2) R8I and R8I-FLEX driven by Intel Xeon 6 processors, which are only available at AWS. They provide the highest performance and fastest memory bandwidth between Intel comparable processors in the cloud. These cases provide up to 15 piercing better price performance, 20 piercing high performance and 2.5 times more memory throughput compared to previous generation cases.
With these improvises, the R8i and R8I-Flex instances are ideal for a number of intensive workloads such as SQL and NOSQL databases, distributed cache for web scale (Memcache and Redis), memory databases such as SAP Hana and large data analysis). For most workloads that make full use of computing resources, the R8I-Flex instance is a great first choice to achieve another 5 MoLA better price performance and 5 percent lower prices.
Improvement made in both cases compared to their predecessors
As far as performance is concerned, the R8I and R8I-Flex instances offered 20 percent better than the R7i instance, with even higher profits for specific work. These instances are up to 30 Fastgresql Sea databases, up to 60 PERNENTs fast for Nginx Web applications, and up to 40 PERTERENTs fast for AI deep learning models compared to the previous R7i instance generation, with a whole-core Turbo frequency now reaches 3.9 GHz (compared to 3.2 GHz). They are also characterized by 4.6x L3 cache and the nordially better memory throughput, which offers a 2.5 -fold higher memory bandwidth than the seventh generation. With this higher performance in all vectors, you can run a larger number of workloads while maintaining low costs.
The R8i instance now changes up to 96xlarge with up to 384 VCPus and 3TB memory (compared to 48xLair in the seventh generation), which will help you expand the database applications. The R8I instances are certified to provide 142,100 ASAPS, which is the highest of all comparable machines in the premises and cloud, which provides exceptional performance for your critical SAP workload. The R8i-Flex instance has offered the most common sizes, from large to 16xlage, and are a great first option for applications that you make full use of all computing resources. The R8i and R8i-Flex instances use the latest sixth-generation Nitro cards, adding up to twice as many network and Amazon Elastic Block Storage (Amazon EBS) bandwidth compared to the previous generation, which significantly improves the permeability for workload to manipulate small packets such as web, applications and gaming servers.
The R8i and R8I-Flex instances also support the bandwidth configuration with 25 % adjustments between the allocation between the network bands and the Amazon EBS, allowing better database performance, processing and logging speed. Other enhancements include FP16 support for Intel AMX to support workloads such as deep learning and inference training and other applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML).

When to use instance R8I-FLEX
As previously stated, the R8i-Flex instances are more affordable versions of the R8i instances that offer up to 5 piercing better price performance for 5 Pierce Lower Princes. They are designed for workloads that benefit from the latest generation performance, but make full use of all computing resources. These instances can reach full power of CPU 95 percent of time and work well for databases in memory, distributed Cacale Web Scale stores, medium -sized analysts, large data analysis and other business applications. The R8I instances are recommended for more demanding workloads that require suspension high performance of CPU, network or EBS such as analysts, databases, business applications and cache for web scale cache.
