AWS Services Scale to New Heights for Prime Day 2025: Key metrics and milestones Amazon Web Services

Polly expressed

The Amazon Prime Day 2025 was the largest Amazon Prime Day shopping event, where the volume of sales and total items sold during a four -day event could be recorded. Prime saved billions on shopping for Amazon millions of stores during the event.

This year it meant a significant transformation of experience with the main day through progress in generative AI offers from AMAZON and AWS. Customers have used Alexa+-amployed Amazon assistant, which is now available in an early access to millions of customers-A-like shopping assistant, rufus and AI shopping guide. These functions, which have been built on more than 15 years of cloud innovation and expertise from AWS, combined with deep retail and consumer experiences from Amazon, helped customers quickly discover offers and get information about products and complete fast and free deliveries throughout the year.

As part of our annual tradition, we will tell you how AWS has powered Prime Day for record sales, I want to share metrics of services and graphs from AWS that allowed your amazing shopping experience.

Prime Day 2025 – All Numbers
During weeks leading to large shopping events such as Prime Day, the Amazon of the Center and Delivery Station operates to prepare and ensure that operations run efficiently and safely. For example, an automated storage system and Amazon search (ASRS) operates the global fleet of industrial mobile robots that move Amazon goods.

AWS Outposts, a fully managed service that expands the AWS experience on the spot, Powers software that is done at the command and inspection of Amazon ASRS and SUME-SAPS, and the next day of low-low items that are critical robotics processing.

During the Prime Day 2025, AWS sent bases in one of the large Amazon centers to meet Amazon more than 524 million orders of more than 7,000 robots and reached a top 8 million orders per hour – 160 percent compared to Prime Day 2024.

Here are several other interests, the metric of the mind:

  • Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) – During the Prime Day 2025, AWS Graviton, processor family designed to provide the best price performance for cloud workload running in AMAZON EC2, more than 40 percent of the AMAZON EC2 Compute used by Amazon.com. Amazon also deployed over 87,000 AWS Invorentia and AWS Trainium Chips – own silicon chips for deep learning and generative training and inference AI – to power Amazon Rufus for Prime Day.
  • Amazon Sagemaker AI -Amazon Sagemaker AI, a fully managed service that brings together a wide set of tools that allow high -performance, cheap machine learning (ML), processing more than 626 billion during the Prime Day 2025.
  • Amazon Elastic Container Service (AMAZON ECS) and AWS FARGATE– Amazon Elastic Container Service (AMAZON ECS) is a fully administered orchestration service service that works without problems with the AWS Fargate, a computing motor without a server for containers. During the Prime Day 2025, AMAZON ECS launched an average of 18.4 million tasks on AWS Fargate, an increase of 77 percent compared to the average day of the previous year.
  • AWS failure service (AWS FIS) – We took over 6,800 AWS FIS experiments – more than eight times more than we were in 2024, tested resistance and ensured that Amazon.com would remain highly available on the main day. This significant increase could have been used by two enhancements: new AMAZON ECS support for the AWS Fargate Injection Disorder and FIS testing integration at continuous and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • AWS LAMBDA – AWS Lambda, without Compute Service, which allows you to run the code without infrastructure management, processes over 1.7 trillion daily during the Prime Day 2025.
  • Amazon API Gateway – During the Prime Day 2025, Amazon API Gateway, a fully managed service that makes it easier to create, holiness and secure APIs on any scale, processes more than 1 trillion requests for internal services – 30 Perits in diameter daily compared to Prime Day 2024.
  • Amazon cloudfront – Amazon Cloudfront, Happy Delivery Network (CDN), which safely provides low latency content and high transmission speed, adds more than 3 trillion http requirements during the Global Week Prime Day 2025.
  • Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) -Prime Day 2025, Amazon EBS, our high -performance storage service, reached a peak at 20.3 trillion I/O operations and moved daily to data.
  • Amazon Aurora – in the Prime Day Amazon Aurora, a relational database management system (RDBMS), built for high performance and availability on a global scale for PostgreSQL, MyQL and DSQL, processed 500 billion transactions, stored 4.071 data data and transferred 999 tertity data.
  • Amazon Dynamodb -Amazon Dynamodb, without server, fully managed, distributed database Nosql, drives more highly track features and Amazon systems included Alexa, Amazon.com and all Amazon compliance centers. During the Prime Day race, these sources have made dozens of trillion calls to the Dynamodb API. Dynamodb Santa has high availability and provided a single -digit millisecond centers and the peak at 151 million applications.
  • Amazon elasticache – During Prime Day, Amazon Elasticache, fully managed latency of the provision of services by microsetic latency, reached a peak in the administration of more than 1.5 quadrillion daily requirements and more than 1.4 trillion requirements per minute.
  • Amazon kinesis data streams – Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, a fully managed streaming service without servers, processed the peak of 807 million records per second during the Prime Day 2025.
  • Amazon Simple Tail Service (Amazon SQS) – During the Prime Day 2025, Amazon SQS – a fully managed queue service service for micro -checks, distributed systems, and applications without servers – set the new top operation of 166 million per second.
  • Amazon Guarddutes – During the Prime Day 2025, the Amazon Guardduty, an intelligent detection service, watched an average of 8.9 trillion protocol per hour, an increase of 48.9 percent compared to last year’s main day.
  • AWS cloudtrail – AWS Cloudtrail, which monitors user activity and API’s use at AWS, as well as in hybrid and multicloud, processed over 2.5 trillion events during the Prime Day 2025 in 2024.

Prepare for a scale
If you are preparing for similar business critical events, launching the product and migration, I recommend that you take advantage of our new AWS deductible countdown (known as AWS Infrastructure Management EVENTS or IEM). This comprehensive support program helps ASSS operational readiness, identify and alleviate risks and plan capacity using proven game books developed by AWS experts. We have expanded to: Generative support of AI implementation that will help you to start and scaling AI with certainty; Support for migration and modernization includes modernization of mainframes; And optimization of infrastructure for specialized sectors included electoral systems, retail operations, medical services and sports and gaming events.

I look forward to seeing what other records will be interrupted next year!
