When I was preparing for this week, I couldn’t help but think about how database technology has evolved over the last decade. It is fascinating to see architectural decisions years ago to continue to shape the way we create modern applications. This week brings a special milestone that perfectly captures this development in innovation cloud databases when Amazon Aurora celebrated 10 years of database innovation.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Swami Sivasubramanian on LinkedIn again on his way with Amazon Aurora and called it “one of the most interesting products” on which it is. When Aurora was launched in 2015, it moved the database landscape by separating and storage. Aurora, which has now trusted hundreds of thousands of customers across industries, has grown from a database compatible with MySQL to understand platform with innovations such as Aurora DSQL, Capabilites without servers, I/O-optimized prices, zero and generative. Support. The celebration of last week 21. August emphasized this ten -year transformation, which continues to simplify the scaling of databases for customers.
Start of Last Week
In addition to inspirational celebrations, there are several AWS starts that captivated me:
- AWS billing and cost management introduces customizable dashboards – this new feature creates cost data into visual dashboards with multiple widgets and visualization options, combining information explorer information, savings and reserved instances reports that help organize expenditure and sharens.
- Amazon Bedrock simplifies access to Open Open Weight Models-Aws has simplified access to Open Open Modern Models (GPT-OS-150B and GPT-OS-20B), which is automatically available to all users without manual activation while holding the administrator control through IAM and police control.
- Amazon Bedrock adds batch inference support for Claude Sonet 4 and GPT-OS-Toto are provided asynchronous processing of multiple inference requirements with 50 piernt lower prices compared to inference on request that evolve for Batch Working Progress
- AMAZON EC2 R8I and R8I-FLEX Memory-Optimized Instances Dueled by Intel Xeon 6 processors, these new instances provide up to 20 piernt better performance and 2.5 times higher memory permeability than R7i instance, ideal for memory databases and large data and analysis of large data.
- Amazon S3 introduces failure to verify dose data – a new ability in S3 batch operations that effectively verify billions of objects using Chececksum algorithms without downloading or recovery, generates a detailed report integrity for conformity and audit for payment without a hundred kidnapping.
More AWS messages
Here are several other projects and blog posts that could consider interesting:
- Amazon presents the Deepfleet Foundation models for multirobot coordination – trained for millions of hours of data from Amazon and Sorating Center, these pioneering models predict future robotic fleet operations, which is the first endowment models specifically designed to coordinate multiple robots in the complex.
- Building agents with several lines of code-new blog show how to create more AI systems with several lines of code, enably specialized agents to work smoothly, process complex workflows and share information through standardized protocols to create individual agents’ abilities.
- The AWS Security Incident Responses introduces ITSM integration – new integration with Jira and Servicenow provides two -way synchronization of security incidents, comments and attaching, streaming reaction while maintaining existing processes, open source code available to GITHUB to customize and extend to other platforms.
- Finding Root-Caux using a network digital double chart and AI-AI-A-A-A-A-A-A-AD agent shows how AWS cooperates with NTT Docomo to create a network digital twin using graphical databases and auto-mooom AI agents.
Upcoming AWS events
Check your calendars and register for these upcoming AWS events:
- AWS Summits-are connected to free online and personal events that connect the Cloud Computing community to join, cooperate and learn about AWS. Register in your nearest town: Toronto (September 4), Los Angeles (September 17) and Bogota (October 9).
- AWS Re: Invent 2025 – This flag annual conference comes to Las Vegas from 1 – 5 December. The event catalog is now available. Mark your calendars not to miss the AWS community.
- The AWS-with community days have joined the community conferences containing technical discussions, workshops and practical laboratories led by AWS users and industry leaders from around the world: Adria (September 5), Baltic (September 10), Aotearoa (September 18), South Africa (September 20).
Join the AWS Builder Center and learn, build and connect with builders in the AWS community. Walk here for the upcoming events focused on personal and virtual developers.
That’s all for this week. See the next Monday for the next week round!
